Assam flood nearly 2 lakh people affected in state and Deadly mudslide started

     Road and rail links were cut off as heavy rain and flooding with landslides continued to inflict annihilation in Assam. Nearly 2 lakh people in 20 sections of the state have been negatively impacted by the cataracts, a PTI report stated. 
    A deadly mudslide started by the ceaseless deluge claimed three lives Haflong profit circle, while two deluge- related deaths were reported in Cachar quarter. Overall, around people have been affected by the cataracts and landslides. Disaster operation officers said Cachar and Hojai sections are the worst- megahit. To further compound troubles, the rainfall office has read heavy to veritably heavy rain in Assam over the coming three days. The evacuation of about 2800 passengers from two trains was completed with help from the Air Force and other agencies on Monday after the two locomotives were stranded on the tracks due to landslides and waterlogging. 

     Around 55 relief camps have been opened in seven sections, sheltering people. Another 12 relief distribution centres are also functional in other sections. Dikes have been traduced at 16 locales in different sections in the last 24 hours. Roads, islands and houses have been completed or incompletely damaged in several areas. A state bulletin said Dima Hasao quarter has been fully cut off due to landslides and a breakdown of communication channels, adding that all roads and railroads leading to Haflong have been blocked since May 15.
